A New Chapter in Halle: Tube Mill Control Prepares for Its Future Headquarters
# A New Chapter in Halle: Tube Mill Control Prepares for Its Future Headquarters
Tube Mill Control GmbH is preparing for its next stage of growth. From January 2027, the company will bring its offices, workshop and production facilities together at a new headquarters in Technologiepark Weinberg in Halle.
The future site recently welcomed Sven Schulze, Minister President of Saxony-Anhalt, along with other guests. Although work on the facilities is still underway, the visit offered an early look at the location where Tube Mill Control will develop, manufacture and service its process and quality monitoring technologies for the international tube and pipe industry.
A First Look at the Future Site
During the visit, the guests toured the areas planned for Tube Mill Control's:
- Modern office space
- Dedicated workshop
- Production facilities
- Technology development activities
- Manufacturing and service operations
Michael Kiese, Senior Managing Director of Tube Mill Control GmbH, presented the plans for the headquarters and explained how the new location will support the company's ambitions.
The tour was also an opportunity to share the entrepreneurial story behind Tube Mill Control—a story that began more than three decades ago, only a short distance from the company's future home.
From Startup to International Success
In 1994, Michael Kiese founded HKS Prozesstechnik GmbH in Halle. What began as a technology startup grew into an internationally successful supplier of process and quality monitoring systems for welding applications.
Over more than 20 years, HKS expanded in two important ways:
- Technologically, by developing advanced monitoring solutions for welding processes.
- Internationally, by serving a growing global market.
This development culminated in 2017, when HKS was acquired by the global welding technology group ESAB.
After several years within the international group, Kiese chose to return to entrepreneurship. Tube Mill Control GmbH was founded at the end of 2025, marking the beginning of a new technology venture in Halle.
More than 30 years after the first company was established, a new entrepreneurial chapter is now taking shape at the city's technology and innovation hub.
Infrastructure Designed for Growth
The move to Technologiepark Weinberg will give Tube Mill Control the space and infrastructure it needs for its next phase of development.
Bringing office, workshop and production teams together at one site will create a strong foundation for:
- Developing process and quality monitoring technologies
- Manufacturing solutions for the tube and pipe industry
- Providing technical service to international customers
- Supporting closer collaboration across the company
- Scaling operations as the business grows
The new headquarters is therefore more than a change of address. It is an investment in Tube Mill Control's long-term development and its ability to serve customers in an international market.
The Road to January 2027
Tube Mill Control is scheduled to move into the new headquarters in January 2027. Before then, significant work remains to complete and prepare the site.
Over the coming months, the company plans to share regular updates covering:
- Construction progress at the new location
- Development of the workshop areas
- Installation and preparation of production facilities
- The final move into the new headquarters
These updates will offer customers, partners and the wider community a closer view of the company's journey toward its new home.
Building the Next Technology Success Story in Halle
The visit by Minister President Sven Schulze highlighted both the progress being made at the future headquarters and the entrepreneurial experience behind Tube Mill Control.
With deep roots in Halle, decades of industry knowledge and a new site designed for growth, the company is preparing to write the next chapter of its story at Technologiepark Weinberg.
Tube Mill Control thanks Minister President Sven Schulze and all participating guests for their visit, their interest in the company and the valuable exchange.
